  1. Thinking about taking the plunge and buying the 2010 Road King Classic. The HD dealership here in Central Florida is jerking me around with the price but, my real bitch is the limited knowledge he has about the bike. This make buying the HOG very difficult.

What can i expect to pay for the bike?
Where can i research and compare specification information?….. Thanks

    • Hi there.

Why put up with a sales guy who doesn’t know what he’s talking about? I’m no florida man but shouldn’t there be several dealers all around? Why not try a different one?

MOST dealers will be happy to sell for $500 less than MSPR. Some dealers will go about $1,000 below MSRP. If you are a repeat customer or have something worked out, you can go lower. I wouldn’t push beyond the $1,000. All dealers should offer 15% off parts (not labor) at the time of purchase. Buy what you know you’re going to buy, but don’t be fooled into thinking that 15% is such a big deal. Taking a risk to buy parts online can often net you 20-30% off retail prices. The upside of the 15% off (assuming you can wrangle that from your dealer) is everything purchased then-and-there gets covered by your warranty.

Regarding specific info, what were you looking for? Specs? Specs of FHLRC vs FLHR? Whatever question you have, ask it here, and I’ll do my best.

      And good luck to ya.
